Winter Sunset

This was a pleasant surprise when looking out my window this evening.
And I had to look at what looked like a jet trail?
And no, it wasn't, but isn't that just cool how it appears that way.
Colder than ever here so maybe this sunset means it will warm up like the weatherman is forecasting.

Happy New Year!

OK, its another New Year and another attempt at taking a photo a day. This was actually taken yesterday in the bright sunlight. I didn't realize it was so cold...brrr. But its even colder today so we have been snuggled up inside all day.
Do you know what bright sunlight and white snow does to your eyes? Well, it is so bright it can blind you or at least hurt your eyes as you can see here. Makes me kind of chuckle when I look at Elle trying to open her eyes.

Up North in the Cold

I've fallen away from the challenge with the bitter cold we have had here. I need to start finding things to shoot inside.
I was anticipating some great shots this weekend at our retreat but it was still so cold that I found it pretty hard to get excited about shooting much outside.
We had came here on Sat., the main lodge, where we were able to play broom ball, go sleighing, swim in the pool or hang out in the arcade. I mostly hung in the arcade...brrr!
