Pearls - teenage style~!

My DD and her friend wanted to do a photo shoot at one of my most favorite locations, an old picnic shelter, while at the lake last week. Luckily I caught my son before we left. Like to keep him in the pictures, too.

Pearls were all the rage with the kids this year in all sizes and lengths.

Playing with Virtual Photography...I think this was Diffused.

Those pearls are too cute!
My six year old would love to get her hands on those. I like your setting, too.

Looks like a fun place to shoot. And how great that your DD is cooperative, I've heard that many people's aren't. These look a tad dark to me, but it could quite possibly be my comp since I'm a work...

I think these are too dark. A slight curves adjustment should do the trick. I like the conversion in the second one. I don't think your children could take a bad photo.

Yes, these look a little dark to me too. Great idea with the theme... It's wonderful! Love your dd's posing. She's just gorgeous and you captured her well!

these are REALLY nice! Ya know, PSE doesn't have a curves adjustment, but there is one on the free graphics program I have on ScrapQuick -- the info on it is here:
http://scrapquick.com/tutorials/paint.htm

as far as drop shadows go, you know you can always make them completely custom.

I have a tut on that for Paint right here

http://scrapquick.com/tutorials/firstpage.htm -- just scroll down to STEP 5

if you want to do it in PSE, all the steps are the same; the menu commands are just a bit different. I should do a quick tut on that on my blog - I bet a lot people could benefit from it.

And, YES YES YES -- my kiddos LOVED Sonshine. The 2 I took are 14 and 9. My eldest DD has gone before and BEGGED me to come this year :)

I love that second one! Yes, a bit dark like everyone is saying. That is so cool that pearls are popular with teens ~ they are so feminine.

Nice shots... I agree about them being dark, but its a quick and easy fix! :) The girls look like they had a good time!
