On Theme?

I think I am on theme. Things that we are sentimental about?
That would certainly be my DS who is just a few days shy of becoming a teenager.
I decided to feature him today after our disastrous evening yesterday.
We were all geared up for photo ops w/his sister before the game and then he wanted lots of shots of his soccer game. Well, it didn't quite work out that way. We dropped him off at the fields early and decided to get gas first where we discovered 2 low tires. Not a big deal, right? Just add some air and carry on.
That particular gas station didn't have air so we went to another gas station, still no air so we went to a 'tire store. By now the tires were hissing and basically flat. Crazy. So let's fix them. Oh no, we need new tires. By now I am so stressed because we aren't at the soccer fields and my DS has no clue where we are. I have no phone numbers. Once they sell me tires - why do I feel like there was no way they would fix my tires when they could sell me new ones? Grrr.
They do drive me to the soccer fields and I tell them I will get a ride back. They are in conversation w/my DH this whole time. We get back right before 9. DD's BF noticed the sign said they closed at 8 - we only left at 7:40. Sure enough they are closed. What? They knew we were coming back. I don't get it. Luckily, we got a ride home from one of the soccer moms.
So, my vehicle with camera is still there.
Evidently I drove over something because both the passenger tires went flat. Been a long, long time since I have had a break down and I don't want to be there again any time soon.
So that is why today is for my DS because there were no soccer pictures. Luckily this was the 1st game of the season.

I am so sorry to hear about your tires. I got stranded 8 months pregnant when a tire blew, I was in the left lane of the the median and it was where to interstes converges and it was 7 lanes. I ws terrified. I had a cell phone but it took 45 minutes of standing in the heat and speeding traffic (there was no way to cross) before the tow got there. Yikes - I know the feeling! Hope you get the car today. Handsome young man you have there! And Happy Birtday to him :)
